History 101: Modern Europe 1500 – 1815/ English 110: College Writing

Studying source texts and using Reacting to the Past methodology to recreate scenes from the Trial of Galileo and the French Revolution, students will form a national assembly creating the French constitution, and write newspaper articles appropriate to that time. In English 110, students will learn the basics of academic argument – reading, thinking, writing, and revision – and pursue important scholarly questions as they build the authority they need to take part in today’s intellectual conversations.
